Dear Third Graders,
This week in science, you've been learning about forms of energy. Today you participated in the "Energy Park" and experimented with light, heat and sound. Later this week, you'll make a solar oven. Solar energy is a form of alternative or renewable energy. Did you know there is something in our classroom that is powered by solar energy? HINT: It sits on our class mailboxes. Other forms of renewable energy are hydro and wind. If you are interested in reading more, you can find some good information here: Renewable Energy For Kids What are some things you already know about renewable energy? Why do you think solar, hydro and wind energy are important? Dear Third Graders,

I am so excited that you are enjoying Biblionasium! I love reading your book reviews. Many of you have given 5 stars to The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Can you believe I've never read that book? I think you have convinced me that I should! Do you think reading your friends' book reviews and seeing the books your friends are reading can help you become a better reader? If so, how? Right now our class challenge is to read personal narratives. What should our next book challenge be? Keep sharing those amazing reviews!!! Love, Mrs. Shannon Dear Third Graders,
In reading and writing, we have been studying the personal narrative genre. We have read examples and non-examples. What are some personal narratives you have read that you'd like to share? |
