Dear Third Graders,
This week in science, you've been learning about forms of energy. Today you participated in the "Energy Park" and experimented with light, heat and sound. Later this week, you'll make a solar oven. Solar energy is a form of alternative or renewable energy. Did you know there is something in our classroom that is powered by solar energy? HINT: It sits on our class mailboxes. Other forms of renewable energy are hydro and wind. If you are interested in reading more, you can find some good information here: Renewable Energy For Kids What are some things you already know about renewable energy? Why do you think solar, hydro and wind energy are important?

When I was in west Texas I saw a wind farm.It produces a Iot of wind energy.! Sometimes birds like hawks fly into the wind mills. It is hard to transport energy from the wind farm to the cities.
